The family will visit with friends Friday evening from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Saturday, January 21, 2023, at the Idaho Falls 28th Ward, 2025 Jennie Lee Drive, with Bishop Jason Yarrington officiating. We love and miss you John until we meet again. He was preceded in death by his parents, Seth Darrell and Mary Lou Foutz Reeder. John is survived by his wife, Sherry Reeder of Idaho Falls, ID children, Joseph (Heather) Reeder, Robert Reeder, Michael (Diana) Reeder, Rebecca (Ralph) Faneus, Mary (Nathan) Rowan step-children, Michelle Denison, Jesse (Laura) Mitchell, Curtis (Robyn) Mitchell, Justin (Leesa) Mitchell, Ryan (Katrina) Mitchell, and Randy (Alice) Mitchell siblings, Daniel Reeder, Thomas (Kim) Reeder, David (Susan) Reeder, Nancy (Douglas) Weber over 30 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. They enjoyed traveling, going to movies, going on walks with their beloved dogs, Rizzy and Whylee, and visiting family. They were later sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple in September 2005. He also owned a carpet cleaning business, and was well liked by all.Īfter his divorce he met and married Sherry Bowman on January 22, 2002. He continued to do custodial work for The Good Samaritan, Fairwinds, Idaho Falls Temple, and Dillard’s. He retired from INL after 29 years as a custodian. They enjoyed spending time in Island Park at the Reeder cabin. On April 14, 1972, he married Bonita Burtenshaw in the Idaho Falls Temple. He attended schools in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He served as a teacher, librarian, custodian, and Cub Scouts Den leader. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Visiting his grandparents and cousins was always a highlight. John had a happy childhood with his older brother, Dan younger brothers, Tom and David and sister, Nancy. John was born December 23, 1951, in Ogden, Utah, to Seth Darrell and Mary Lou Foutz Reeder. John Bruce Reeder, 71, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed away peacefully in his home on January 16, 2023.
